Creative Communications Goals:
Expectations:
Every day, you will need:
This class should push you to be creative, inquisitive and thoughtful. You will be exploring design and technology that will hopefully be fun, but also useful to you in the future. I expect that everyone participates and tries their best in every activity.
Grading:
Participation- 10%
Points will be DEDUCTED from this grade for any of the following:
Small Projects- 30%
Each day, I will ask you to complete small tasks on the computer or in the library that will increase your knowledge of basic technology and design skills. These projects will be completed during class time.
Large Projects- 40%
The large projects in class will be using what we learn in the small projects to collaborate and create a polished final product. These projects include, but are not limited to:
Quizzes and Tests- 20%
I hope that this class becomes more inquisitive and experimental than based around a ton of terminology. On occasion, however, the students will be asked to test what they have learned about common terms, practices and procedures.

Creative Communications Goals:
- Learn basic terminology about advertising and communication
- Design posters and slogans to serve a purpose
- Discuss the use, influence and meaning of different communications
- Create a website to sell a product
- Use critical thinking to assess pros and cons of online graphic tools
- Use google as a platform to create documents and presentations while also collaborating with classmates

- Be Respectful
- Be Safe
- Be a Good Listener
- Do Your Best
Every day, you will need:

- computer login
- school email account and password
This class should push you to be creative, inquisitive and thoughtful. You will be exploring design and technology that will hopefully be fun, but also useful to you in the future. I expect that everyone participates and tries their best in every activity.
Grading:
Participation- 10%
Points will be DEDUCTED from this grade for any of the following:
- Unprepared for class (no pencil or login information)
- Not seated & ready to participate when the tardy bell rings.
- Not being safe or appropriate with school equipment
- Not participating in a class activity
Small Projects- 30%

Large Projects- 40%

- Creating designs and logos
- Creating and Editing pictures
- Creating a website
- Using google to collaborate
- Experiment with online sites and judge their effectiveness
